About Me:
My name is Kenneth Rosemond and I was born, brought up and made the United States of American my natural home. Our family originally belonged to Cuba but has been living in the United States for several generations now. My parents, who were both Professors of Sociology at New York University, immigrated to Canada in year 1970. I was born in Vancouver, Canada in year 1973 and have since completed undergraduate education in this place, gaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia in year 1990. I followed this up with a Post Graduate Master of Arts in Children’s Literature in year 1995.
My Expertise:
I work as a part time lecturer in Creative Writing in a private college here and also do a great deal of creative writing myself, mainly for budding children. I also use my spare time to teach mentally challenged children on purely charity basis. The intellectual capacities of children are very fecund and I strongly feel that given the right inputs, even challenged children could develop their mental and creative faculties to the optimum. I have published several research papers and also written a number of books on Creative Writing for children since I also strongly believe that the art of writing must be nurtured, developed and honed from early childhood itself and must further be practiced religiously on regular basis. I also serve in the Faculty of Languages at the UBC, whose main responsibilities are in terms of preparing professionals to take up practice in a broad spectrum of educational domains, beginning preschool and lasting to late adulthood.
